IVF Process Step by Step
Ovarian Stimulation: The woman receives fertility medications to stimulate multiple egg development.
Egg Retrieval: Eggs are collected from the ovaries using a short, minimally invasive procedure.
Sperm Collection: The male partner provides a semen sample or donor sperm is used.
Fertilization: Eggs and sperm are combined in the lab for fertilization (IVF / ICSI).
Embryo Culture: Fertilized eggs (embryos) are grown in a controlled environment for a few days.
Embryo Transfer: One or more embryos are gently transferred into the uterus.
Support: Hormonal support is given to help the embryo implant.
Pregnancy Test: A blood test is done after about 14 days to check for pregnancy.
